Whole Body Vibration Reduces Sore Muscles
Have you experienced muscle soreness after a vigorous workout or maybe you have just started exercising? Did you know that Vibration Exercise can help?
What is muscle soreness?
It feels like a dull, aching pain in the muscle, often combined with tenderness and stiffness. The pain is generally felt only when the muscle is put under pressure, contracted or stretched but not when it is at rest. Depending on the person, the soreness generally increases in the first 24 hours after exercise, peaking from 24 to 72 hours, subsides and disappears within seven days.
We have all found different ways of easing this pain. Since owning a Vibration Exercise Machine, I have found that the soreness reduces at a quicker pace. NO, it doesn’t take it away but it helps when it comes time to engaging those sore muscles again.
How Can Whole Body Vibration help?
Dr. Mercola’s websites provided a tremendous amount of information on Alternative Health practices and remedies. I found one of his posts on Whole Body Vibration supporting the benefits of incorporating vibration exercise to reduce soreness after strenuous exercising.
As Seen On Dr. Mercola’s website
“Acceleration training, also called Whole Body Vibration Training (WBVT) can significantly accelerate tissue healing. Acceleration training essentially involves standing on a vibration plate that works ALL your muscles and nerves at the same time.
Vibration Exercise stimulates your white muscle fibers, which are your fast and super-fast twitch muscle fibers, which kick-starts your pituitary gland into making more HGH. You can exercise while on this vibrating plate, or simply stand on it passively, which means any person of any age or fitness level can benefit.
Vibrational training has been demonstrated to improve circulation, increase range of motion, improve balance, decrease pain, and speed recovery from injuries. Think of acceleration training as “mechanical massage.”
Any time you can increase your circulation, as Acceleration Training does, you deliver more oxygen and nutrients to your tissues, which is beneficial for just about everything. Additionally, the vibration plates ability to increase flexibility is one of its most exciting features, since muscle tightness is a major contributing factor to many injuries.”

Whole Body Vibration Training targets the whole body, allowing you to work all of your muscles and nerves at the same time. This new exciting approach to fitness addresses your whole system, rather than one muscle group at a time. It is also possible to target individual muscle groups as well. Ten minutes a day on a vibration exercise machine can bring the same results as one hour in the gym. And you can do it at home, leaving you more time to spend with your family and friends.
